Im asking for good leads, as I am looking for something very specific: a small turbocharged, aftercooled Cat truck engine called a 1673 or 1673 Series B. It was 220-245HP, available circa 1963-1968. Engine serial number prefixes: 70B, 78B, 83B. The IL prefix engines are too old, and the 69D and 76R are different, they are 1673C3306. Based upon prior attempts to locate one, I should add: This is a pushrod engine, NOT overhead cam.It is not a 1674. It is not a 1693 (not even close.). It is similar to a 1673C or early 3306, but not the same-those arent aftercooled. A 1673 or 1673B will not be in trucks newer than about 1969. It is like a D333T ina 966, D6, etc. etc but it is not the same thing.Im looking for a runner to put in a hobby truck. I am also looking for air cleaner parts for a 1673 truck engine. Ive done the research, the equipment versions sadly do not have the required pieces.
